Ok so I'm trying to get myself back into the swing of things. Time has been my enemy, always has, but I want to really get my act in gear. As I get ready to start to re-read some of my books on drewing techniques, I figured I'd post some of my old stuff here. Now this is stuff from like 12-15 years ago(gawd I can't believe it's been that long!!).

This first piece(REALLY REALLY bad scan!) was a cover I was submitting for my high school literary magazine my senior year(93-dear lord!!). It took me like 3 days to work on, to only be tossed aside for some really retarded picture someone drew of a kid on a water drop. I no longer have this, I have no idea what happened to it, but it's one of my first full pieces for actual presentation.

This is one of my fave pieces. Never really finished it, to this day it still sits in a folder. I just never got around to finishing it. Which happens alot really. I have ADD when it comes to drewing-i tend to start something, get an idea for something else and never get back. This is a bad scan too, but I don't have a better one really. I think this one is from 95/96 while I was going to computer school. I just loved how old Bats came out and when i got done and started filling in the rest of it, I got distracted and never figured out how to finish it.

Lastly, this is probably my fave piece I've ever done. Done in 96 with a little of that 90's flair to it, I worked on this and it didn't take me all of that long. I think like 2 days in between work and school. I'll post some more stuff over the weekend as I go thru my things and find some more. Enjoy!

Luckily most of my old high school art is hidden away at my parents' house in a dusty portfolio, otherwise I might be tempted to post some of it.
Batman turned out nicely. Why don't you draw a new one—same pose and whatnot—to see how you stack up now as compared to then?
Hahaha thanks man! That's a good idea about the bats pic. Maybe now I'll be able to finish it. That could also be my way to break back into things.
I don't think any of my old highschool stuff remains...see, I lost my comic-book collection- along with my art- while I was off in the military, doing dangerous stuff n shnit...gotta love friends and a cousin who do that to you...sorry, bitter pill to this day...
I had some off the wall ideas for Spider-Man, the X-Men, and all my cooky creations that were going to be part of the Marvel Universe someday...Man!...I'm digging for this magic I forgot about...
McGill!
Hey welcome to my quiet little neck of the net. Thanks for checking me out. Yeah I don't have as much of my old stuff as I'd like. I found some more I'm going to scan later today. Glad I could help with the nostalgia, with the exception of the bad shnit. I had some really off the wall stuff too, maybe all of us should smash heads and get something done!
Yeah, a think tank of sorts...but now that I just looked up what a think tank actually is, I will go along with brain-storming...yep..
