FIRE IN THE HOLE PART 7!!!

Here we go! This part ended up being longer, but man was it fun!
***************************************************************
Then the alarms sounded, followed by the room being lit up by flashing red lights. Once his eyes adjusted Big looked in the doorway from which they entered. Leaning against the opening was Hammerskold holding a large assault weapon. He stumbled in and hit the switch to the restraints on Big’s table.
“Big.”
“Peter.”
When he was free Big got up and freed Choopie. He looked over to where Merrow was and saw she was floating in the air, still glowing her eyes red as fire. Then he heard the hiss of a door opening and saw two beasts enter the room. Hammerskold raised his gun but stared in awe as Merrow gathered the liquid from the floor and launched it at the beasts knocking them back against the wall. Choopie ran over to where Molly was being held and lowered the field holding her.
They started to head through the door where the beasts came in and saw four more heading down a hallway towards them. Looking behind them they heard three of them coming through the blown open doorway.
“Molly see if you can fly ahead through the beasts and see what lies down that hallway, we’ll see what we can do here,” said Big.
“Ok.” She stayed as high as she could but the beasts didn’t seem to see her pass them by.
The rest of them backed into the room again Hammerskold firing down the hallway at the four beasts taking out two of them. The other two tripped over the others and fell on their faces, easily picked off by Hammerskold. Choopie ran back into the room and yelled at the two beasts coming though the other door and stuck his tongue out. Getting one’s attention it lumbered his way, but before it got too close he ran onto the dais that Molly was kept on. The beast lunged at him and he rolled backwards off the dais and switched on the force field, it’s arms getting severed at the elbows, falling to the floor at Choopie’s feet.
“Eww gross, but flippin sweet!”
“Merrow,” yelled Big. “If I can crack on of the other vats can you do that trick again?”
“Yes, Big I can. Just hurry as I’m growing weaker.”
Big went over to the monitors and saw that he could turn off the alarm from that station so he did so. He then lifted the large monitor and launched it at one of the fluid filled vats cracking it open. As the water poured out Merrow flew over to it, raised her arms and launched it at the beast like a battering ram. The beast flew through one of the windows behind it and fell with a loud grunt. The four then headed down the hallway that Molly flew down.
Meanwhile Molly kept on going trying to make heads or tails of all the intersecting corridors. She came upon a room split down the middle by a large wall interspersed with large windows. Slowly creeping under one she looked through it to see what was on the other side. There were a few of those greys standing on a raised section of the floor surrounding a large table. Upon the table looked to be one of the beasts, only it wasn’t as large and seemed more human than the others. They were poking and prodding it with weird looking instruments, but it didn’t move. She ducked out of the way as one seemed to look her way.
She heard something behind her and saw that it was the rest of the team. She lifted her finger to her lips signaling them to be quiet and pointed at the window. They crawled under it and Big looked carefully at what was going on.
“Looks as if they’re doing some kind of experiments and making those beasts out of people,” he said.
“Great cuz that sounds like a good thing,” said Choopie.
“Let’s keep going and see how we can get out of here.”
They continued on a little further and came to a large set of doors with symbols and strange writing on different parts of it. Everyone was exhausted but the need to continue pushed them on. Big went to one of the panels on the side of the door and hit the button to open it. They entered a dark room and couldn’t tell what was in it. The door slammed shut behind them and the room was lit up by a bunch of blue orbs in the ceiling.
The room was empty with the exception of some stairs leading up to an platform area still enshrouded in darkness.
“Come up the stairs, I’ve been expecting you,” boomed a voice that echoed throughout the room and even though they didn’t want to, they felt compelled to do so and found themselves walking anyway. As they climbed the stairs more blue lights lit the way. Once they got to the platform above a succession of lights came on and they all stared in awe as before them was a large glass chamber filled with a green liquid. Inside was a creature unlike anything they’ve ever seen before. It looked like one of the greys only much larger and more bloated. It’s large, black eyes had some sort of white film and its skin had a purple hue to its grey. It didn’t seem to move at all and it’s arms and legs seemed like they were withering away.
“I don’t appreciate the trouble it seems you’re going to cause us,” came the booming voice again. It came from the creature but it’s lips didn’t move, instead the voice was in their heads.
“We weren’t looking for trouble,” said Big. “We were trying to figure out the mystery of the hole.” He realized though that he couldn’t move his legs. The others couldn’t move either it seemed, with the exception of Molly. Who was slowly trying to inch away.
“Regardless, you already caused much trouble and we will not stand for it. You must be held accountable. We shall start with the spirit.”
At that Molly screamed hunching over and clutching her chest.
“What is it they say about your kind?” the being asked. “Oh yes, you’re only still in this realm due to something keeping you from crossing to the other side. Let’s remedy that.”
And as Molly screamed more she started to flicker, then it seemed like she was being torn apart until she just disappeared……
